The Power of Vision
“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, …. And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Habakkuk 2:1&2
Vision is the whole essence of your living. The reason you are sent into the world by God is for you to fulfil a vision. If you can see it, you can have it.
WHAT IS VISION?
Vision is a discovery of God’s plan as it relates to your life. Vision is also foresight with insight. Vision also means beginning a thing with the end in mind. No man ever saw glory without first seeing the vision. Whatever the mind can conceive, believe or imagine, it can achieve. Vision is conceived with the mind. To have sight without vision is worse than being born blind.
Vision is not the same as ambition. While ambition is what a man desires to become in life, vision is what God created him to become. The only meeting point of the two is where the will of a man is lost in the will of God. Vision is higher than ambition. To become truly successful in life, your vision must become your ambition. To know the direction God is leading you in your next level, it is important to prayerfully seek the face of God.
Habakkuk 2:2 says you must separate yourself from the crowd. You are not common, so your vision is not common. Caleb and Joshua refused to follow the mindset of other spies; they chose to follow their own path (Numbers 13:30-31).
Vision can be obtained through prayers (Acts 10:9-16). When prayers give birth to vision, watchfulness keeps it from being forgotten. A vision that is not written will soon be forgotten. God wrote down His vision for His creation. Activities of your vision must become a daily pursuit routine with goal setting and complete focus to see it being achieved. It should be what you live for. Vision plus action equals realisation.
