THE PRAYER ANSWERING GOD

Numbers 14:28 - "Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you."

As Numbers 14:28 states, we serve a God who hears our requests and answers them. This passage emphasises how committed God is to carrying out His word when it is stated in His presence. It gives us comfort in knowing that He is dependable and receptive to our requests. This principle is furthered in Matthew 7:7-8, where it is said that Christians who ask, seek, and knock will be met with open doors and get what they desire. This verse exhorts us to rely on God's faithfulness in prayer and to put our faith in His promises.

God answers prayer: the story of Cornelius in the Book of Acts is one example. Cornelius prayed fervently and had faith in Jesus Christ despite being a Gentile. In response to his prayers, Peter was sent by God to share the gospel with him and his household, which resulted in their baptism and salvation (Acts 10).

God's faithfulness in hearing prayer is further demonstrated in Psalm 66:19–20, which states, “But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me!" These verses demonstrate that God hears petitions and answers them in accordance with His will, so as believers, we are encouraged to approach Him with our supplications. I encourage you to go to God in prayer today; there is nothing that is too small or large for you to bring to Him, and He will hear you.
