FAITH LEAPS ON THE WORD
Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Abraham was 75 years old when God called him to get out of his country and father’s house “on to a Land that I will show thee.” He responded in obedience to God and embarked on a journey which at the time seemed to be going nowhere, thus exemplifying what the life of faith is (Hebrews 11:8). Faith requires that you proceed solely based on God’s Word. When He tells you to do something you should go ahead and do it without asking how. This was how Abraham qualified to become the heir of the world and merited the title of the father of faith. God willed the whole world to him on account of his faith mentality.
The story of the crippled man at Lystra recorded in Acts 14:8-10 is another vivid example. “And there sat a certain man at Lystra impotent in his feet being crippled from his mother's womb who never had walked. The same heard Paul speak who steadfastly beholding him and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice ‘Stand up on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.’ He did not ask how, but simply and promptly acted on the Word. You should always respond the same way whenever you receive God's Word. Consciously and consistently do what the Word says irrespective of contrary circumstances, and you will be forever victorious.
