GOD STILL DOES MIRACLES

Psalm 126:1 – When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.”

Miracles, a topic of debate in Christianity, are still performed by God. The Bible records numerous miracles, such as parting the Red Sea, healing the sick, casting out evil spirits, and feeding a multitude. These miracles demonstrate God's power and those similar to what we label as miracles in the Bible are challenging to deny. These events focus on God. A second category of miracles, which are unseen or not as obvious, can include God's intervention to prevent accidents or respond to prayer. These miracles are often unnoticed, such as healing the sick, protecting us from harm, or equipping us for service in His kingdom. They are a response to God's intervention in the natural world, and these miracles are happening today.

Miracles in the Bible are mostly recorded during three distinct periods: the Exodus, Elijah and Elisha, and Jesus and His apostles. During the Exodus, God demonstrated His presence through the conquest of Canaan under Moses and Joshua, transforming Jewish slaves into a nation. During Jesus' ministry, miracles were used to prove His divine origin and establish His church. These miracles demonstrate that the work done is not of men but God. The miracles of Elijah and Elisha were not meant to establish a God-centred people, but to call God's people back to worshipping the true God. God continues to perform miracles today, as He remains sovereign and unaffected by modern world changes. Will you dare believe Him for a miracle today?
