Seeds of Wisdom

2 Peter 1:3 – “For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”

God has given you everything you need to succeed in life. But the challenge is the ability to discover and identify it. The law of faithfulness starts with little, and God will increase it when you are faithful. Start where you are with what you have. God wants you to start with what you have and not with what is not available. When Jesus wanted to feed the five thousand, He used what was available - 5 loaves and 2 fishes. John 6:6 says that Jesus knew what to do. One of the reasons many people are frustrated is because they do not know what to do. If you know what to do with what you have, you will succeed in anything that you do.

There was a woman in 2 Kings 4:1-2 who cried to Elisha that her husband had died, and the creditors wanted to take her two children. “And Elisha said unto her, … tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, thine handmaid hath not anything in the house, save a pot of oil.” Everybody has something. There is something that you have that you have not yet discovered or valued. The money that you are looking for is hidden in something that you already have. The widow’s wealth was hidden in the small jar of oil; it was the oil that God multiplied for her to pay her debt. So, what you are looking for is hidden inside what you have now; what you need to do is discover, value, and develop it.
