YOUR EXPECTATION SHALL NOT BE CUT OFF
Proverbs 23:18 – “For surely there is an end and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”
One of the dynamic products of our faith in God is the positive expectation incubated by faith. Hope is defined as “a positive expectation of something good happening to you.” Faith is never strong without hope and hope for positive expectation is a powerful energy for faith. As strong as faith is, it cannot act on its own without a positive expectation. When God said, “let there be light,” there was light because that was His expectation. When we pray, we are required to be in expectation because Jesus said in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” In 1 Kings 18, as Elijah was praying for rain to fall, he sent his servant to go and check. He was expecting nothing but rain, and when the servant said that there was something like a small hand in the cloud, Elijah announced with confidence that there was going to be rain.
Expectation has always been the womb for manifestation. God has promised that your expectation shall not be cut off because the desire of the righteous shall be granted (Proverbs 10:24). The man at the gate called Beautiful, blind Bartimaeus and the woman with the issue of blood both expressed positive expectations. When we trust in the Lord, we should believe that daily, God will load us with His benefits. Psalm 9:18 says, “For the needy shall not always be forgotten, the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.” What do you expect this month? Believe and it shall be your experience.
