YOU HAVE SOMETHING-ACTIVATE IT

2 Kings 4:2 – “Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing … but a jar of oil.”

Oftentimes in life we focus on what we do not have forgetting that we were created by the God who created all things beautiful.  In Genesis 1:31, the bible records that God looked at all He had created and said they were good. We forget that God has never created anything or anyone empty. For each one of us, there is something of worth He has deposited in us. Never say you have nothing; you are not empty. Your own bottle of oil could be your smile; there is something unique God has deposited in you. Discovery of your little bottle of oil - that unique gifting which looks negligible is enough to make you stand out and get ahead in life.

Remember, God does not create junks, you are loaded. The widow was called to be a catalyst for change even for widows, she became an entrepreneur, she did not realise that her life was for a purpose having lived most of her adult life in the shadows of her husband whose unique giftings as a prophet were probably pronounced and announced. No wonder, at his demise, she felt empty, hence her response to Elisha. At prophetic direction, that little jar of oil became the source of solution to the dire situation she found herself in and changed the course of her life and that of her children forever; even making it to the annals of scriptures. You are not ordinary; will you ask God to show you your gifting today?
