Seeds of Wisdom

1 Peter 5:7 – “Cast all your cares on Him. For He cares for you.”

In the times we live in everyone is busy and doing their own thing and it may seem as if you are on your own with your burdens. It may also seem like no one cares. The reality is that man is limited in what they can do as they are humans. The good news is that we have a burden bearer who confidently throws an invitation to us to bring our burdens for Him to carry. We do not have to lift or carry our burdens no matter how heavy and unmanageable they are (1 Peter 5:7). To cast is to completely abandon and not worry about whatever you are casting because there is someone at the receiving end. A story is told of a lady who sat in a car and had her luggage on her lap when a boot was readily available. Before you shake your head in disbelief and say ‘That’s absurd!’, that is exactly what most people do in their situations. They try to solve these problems (carry their burdens) until they become weary and anxious. The Word of God encourages us “to be anxious for nothing…” (Philippians 4:6). Therefore, cast your care on Him for He cares for you.

He wants to be your doctor, lawyer, guide, friend, teacher, etc. What is that situation? Take it to Him and leave it with Him! Surely, He will answer you with an answer of peace. He is the God who came through for Joseph when he seemingly had no clue what was going on with Him. He was far away from home and his father whom he would have possibly turned to or cast his burden onto did not know where he was. Imagine you are not in sight for you to receive help! But God was in sight; He was closer than he ever imagined. When you feel you are alone and have no one to help; remember He is EMMANUEL! Call out to Him now!
