THE GRACE THAT MAKES GREAT
1 Corinthians 15:10 – “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
Our God is a God of grace Who desires for us to enjoy His grace in all aspects of life. Paul, in our opening scripture, implies that he could not have achieved what he did ordinarily without the enablement of God’s grace. What then is grace? Grace is the divine assistance and empowerment of God that makes you go beyond human effort to achieve success in the purpose of God for your life. Grace makes you go the extra mile in doing things that you cannot do naturally without being burnt out. It makes the rejected become the accepted and the unknown, lifted. Grace is the oil for ease in life. David was rejected and abandoned in the desert, but the grace of God located and remembered him, enthroning him to become King over Israel. People may have forgotten you but the grace of God upon your life will make them look for you.
Paul was a great example of those whose life demonstrated the grace of God. He was a man of insight, and revelations, a great author who did great exploits for God. He was an exceptional man in God’s calendar of great people. No wonder he said in 1 Cor 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain...” May you experience the same grace of God for success and great results in the fulfilment of God's purpose for your life.
