FEAR NO EVIL, GOD IS WITH YOU

Psalm 23:4 – Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

The path of the righteous man shines brighter because God orders it, even when on our life’s journey we encounter situations that seem unbearable, and we need someone to rely on God can be that companion in times of need. The Psalmist says God will walk through that path with you and is beside you to see you through those challenging times to comfort you. The consciousness of this truth will make you know that you are not in the situation alone, even when it seems dreadful and difficult to bear.

David faced a lot of battles in his life, the threats of Saul, conspiracies of his brothers and even his men stood against him. He faced the challenges of the Philistines who rose against him in battle, but this is the same David who concluded that “though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death…, God will be with me. He knew that God would not allow evil to prevail over him. Hence, he said, “thy rod and thy staff”- the Word of God, His grace and His Spirit comforted him. He took the presence of God with him, and he was sustained. So, you must also trust and rely on the Lord, making Him your companion. When His presence is with you no evil can affect you because your life is secured in Him. The good shepherd will guide you through challenges and you will get to the other side victoriously.
