THE ALL-SEEING GOD: OUR OMNIPRESENT WITNESS
Psalm 139:7-8 -"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there."
In the vast expanse of creation, there is no corner where God's presence does not dwell. He is the All-Seeing God, intimately acquainted with every detail of our lives. As modern-day Christians, it is easy to forget that we cannot hide from His gaze. He sees all, knows all, and weighs the intentions of our hearts. Genesis 16:13 reminds us of God's omniscience, "Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, 'Have I also here seen Him who sees me?'" Like Hagar, we are seen and known by the One who created us.
We must be consciously aware that God is recording our deeds. In Ecclesiastes 12:14, we are warned, "For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil." Every action, every thought, every word is recorded in the books of heaven, awaiting the day of reckoning which will come without fail.
In like manner, the All-Seeing God is also weighing our hearts and motives in all we do. Proverbs 16:2 reminds us, "All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirits." God sees beyond outward appearances; He examines the motives and intentions of our hearts. As we navigate life's journey, let us be mindful that our actions are seen by the All-Seeing God. May we live with integrity, knowing that one day we will give an account for every deed done.
