KEYS TO REKINDLE A LOST PASSION

Romans 12:11 – “Not slothful in service; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.”

The Bible tells us that we are to seek, love, serve and trust God passionately. Colossians 3:23 says "Whatever you do, do it with all of your heart as unto the Lord and not unto men."  God wants us to love him passionately, with all of our hearts but many have lost their passion for God and in their service to Him. There are many reasons for this, but there are some steps to restore lost passion. However, there are facts that you must know about passion – passion for God, passion for life, passion for souls, and passion for everything. A man who is not passionate will not succeed in anything. One of the keys to restoring your passion is the word of God. Hear the word of God on the subject of the passion that died out because the word of God is fire. Open yourself to the word of God but do not listen to a minister who lacks fire. Meditate also on the Word of God because the Word of God will re-ignite the dying fire in you. Maintain correct association. Link up with men and women who are on fire in the area where you want passion to be stirred up again. For example, if you have lost passion for your marriage, you should not be relating with divorcees. You should look for people who are burning with passion for their spouses. Likewise, if you have lost your passion for the lost, get into the company of those who are passionate about souls. Associate with people who are passionate in any area you want your passion to be fired up. Lukewarm people will bring lukewarmness into your life. People on fire for God will also bring fire into your life. So, choose your association intelligently.
