DON’T LIMIT GOD

Psalm 78:41-42 – “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.”

The Israelites limited God by their unbelief and forgot about His power and all He did for them (Psalm 78:42-55). The Israelites who limited God’s power in the wilderness were also limited (restricted) to die there. They did not enter Canaan because despite witnessing God’s glory and the signs He performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, they continually tested Him and did not obey His voice (Numbers 14:20-23). Do not limit the Unlimited God.

What a surprise that Moses through whom God had demonstrated His miraculous power would doubt the power of God! “And Moses said, “The people whom I am among are six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said…” (Numbers 11:21-22). Why did Moses doubt that God would do what He said He would do? Moses did not believe God would give meat to 600,000 people for one month in the wilderness. But the Bible says, the cattle on a thousand hills belong to God (Psalm 50:10). The Bible does not say how many cattle are on a thousand hills. In verse 11, God says every bird of the mountains and all the animals of the field belong to Him. God owns everything and can release it to His people to enjoy. Despite Moses” reservation, God fulfilled His Word by supernaturally feeding the Israelites with quails (Numbers 11:31-34). He can do the same in your life today as you trust Him.
