IT IS TIME TO BRING MEN TO GOD
2 Corinthians 5:20 - “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”
What does responsibility mean? It simply means being in charge of something to give an account. Our dear Lord Jesus Christ left us with a responsibility or mandate to evangelise the world and make disciples. As a believer, ever since you received the life of Christ, what has been your responsibility? Do you see evangelism and making disciples as the duty of the pastors only? If this is how you see it, a renewal of the mind is needed by the Word. 2 Timothy 3:16 helps us understand that the Word of God is profitable to correct us and instruct us.
Romans 10:14 says, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" To start with, you should ask yourself this question: How was I saved? You were saved because someone preached to you, and you believed it, and that produced salvation for you, and you became eternally saved. The same way you were saved, responsibility and necessity are laid upon you to do the same for others. This is the responsibility given to us by Jesus Christ Himself. This is the right time to take up that responsibility. An unbeliever cannot preach the gospel to save men because he has no life in him. The responsibility of evangelising is only exclusive to a believer in Christ. Take evangelism seriously today, and if you have not been doing so, make the decision today to do it passionately because God is counting on you to reconcile men to Him.
