Seeds of Wisdom

Luke 1:34-35 – “Mary said to the angel, ‘How will this be, since I am a virgin and have no intimacy with any man?’ Then the angel replied to her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a cloud] …”

There are certain things we may not achieve ordinarily except by the power of the Holy Spirit. Hence, it is vital that you are spirit-filled. One of the New Testament commands that can sustain a believer in the pursuit of life is to “be filled with the Holy Spirit”. In Luke 1:34-35, Mary asked, “how will this be?” The answer was “the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” God expects us to live a life full of the Spirit - a life that is controlled and led by the Holy Spirit. Living under His influence daily will cause you to cease to be ordinary as you will exhibit the fruit of the Spirit. You will speak, see, act, and hear God beyond the natural.

Paul, speaking in 1 Corinthians 2:13 said, “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” Elijah spoke and there was no rain for three and a half years. Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stand still until he finished a battle - nature obeyed him. David’s potentials were not fully unleashed until he was anointed, and Jesus was not announced until He was endued with power. It is paramount for you to be filled with the Holy Spirit and anointed with the same power to fulfil your assignment.
