Seeds of Wisdom

Numbers 11:23 – “Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Is there any limit to my power? Now you will see whether or not my word comes true!”

God is unlimited but it is possible for people to limit Him. ‘Unlimited’ means limitless, unrestricted, unrestrained, unconstrained, infinite, and complete. There are many ways people limit God. When you doubt His Word and promises, you have limited Him. When you reduce Him to a human being and confer Him to human limitations, it is a great sin. This is one of the reasons why many people have not been able to experience His awesome power and the fulfillment of His promises in their lives. You must take God at His Word for you to experience His unlimited power.

To have faith is to believe that God will do what He has promised even if it is beyond your understanding. God’s power and ability is beyond our thinking faculties. The only way to please Him is by walking in faith according to His Word. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” The Israelites limited God by their unbelief; they frustrated God despite all the signs, wonders, and miracles they experienced in Egypt and in the wilderness. They limited God because they forgot about His power and all that He did for them (Psalm 78:42-55). To experience all the exceeding and precious promises of God, faith is fundamental and foundational to experience His unlimited power in all dimensions.
